| FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TWINNING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TANG COUNTY, BAODING CITY, HEBEI PROVINCE OF THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND THE TOWN OF GRAVENHURST, DISTRICT OF MUSKOKA, ONTARIO CANADA Whereas, Tang County of Baoding City, Hebei Province, Peoples Republic of China, and the Town of Gravenhurst, District of Muskoka, Province of Ontario, Canada, through consultations have agreed to establish friendly and co-operative relations between them with a view to further enhancing the mutual understanding and friendship between them, and to strengthen their all-round bilateral co-operative relations agree and share the same views on the following; i) By learning from each other, benefiting from each other’s experience, both sides shall work for common development and prosperity on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. ii) In accordance with the above-mentioned principles, both sides shall promote common interests and exchange positive information in such fields as history, culture, the economy and trade. iii) The basis for cultural promotion and exchange should be on further enhancing the Bethune spirit, including pushing forward the research of his achievements, intensifying education, amongst the youth of the two countries, etc., iv) Both sides should encourage and promote an improved economic and trade relationship through economic and trade talks and by encouraging exchanges amongst the entrepreneurs of both sides. v) The two city governments and councils shall strengthen their co-operation by conducting an exchange visit so as to facilitate the exchange of views on matters of common interests. The two governments shall also provide facilities to the interactions between the two sides.
