The Treasury Department is responsible for the consolidation, administration and maintenance of all municipal user fees and charges. Fees are adjusted annually based on an inflationary factor adopted annually by Council through the “Budget Guidelines Document” or as dictated by legislation. New fees are identified and reviewed individually by Council and notice is provided to the public in accordance with legislation and the municipal notice policy. The governing department provides detailed rational for the fee, benefits to the municipality and residents as well as identifies the legislative authority for the user fee or charge.
