Active Transportation Plan

Government of Ontario

The Town of Gravenhurst has partnered with Cambium Consulting in Barrie, through funding from the Government of Ontario to develop an Age Friendly Active Transportation Plan that will identify new opportunities to make our community more walkable and conducive to a variety of active transportation modes while taking into consideration the specific needs of our aging population.

In order to accomplish this:

  • Review and amend Town Policy (Official Plan)
  • Satisfy demand for infrastructure by gauging needs of the community
  • Extensive public consultation in order to create a needs assessment to identify gaps in existing infrastructure.

More updates to come!
