Free Family Day Activities Planned February 15
Highlighted by the Graeme Murray Road Hockey Event

GRAVENHURST, ON -  What better way to celebrate Family Day than with a wide range of family fun activities at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre! The Gravenhurst Recreation Arts and Culture department and The Gravenhurst  YMCA have teamed up to present a great line-up of events to help keep you active!

“We couldn’t possibly be more excited about the lineup of activities this year,” said Bryan White, program assistant, Recreation Arts and Culture department.  “Seeing all the smiles on faces last year definitely made it all worthwhile. This year, we hope even more families can participate.”

Amongst the many events planned is the 2nd annual Graeme Murray Community Road Hockey Event which will officially launch this year’s Winter Carnival. Members of the South Muskoka Shield will be on hand to help coach; sticks have been generously donated by the Home Building Centre and a number of goodies will be supplied by Well Fed, Carey’s and Boston Pizza for the kids. “The entire road hockey event is an excellent example of community partnerships and collaboration,” said White.
