2018 Community Improvement Program Application Now Open

GRAVENHURST, ON - The Town of Gravenhurst is seeking applicants for the 2018 Community Improvement Plan (CIP).  Up to $15,000 is available per project application.

Originally developed in 2013, this program is venturing into its 6th year.  It allows building owners and business operators to take advantage of a number of financial grant programs to help improve the look and viability of their buildings.   Since the program’s inception over $200,000 in grants have been approved within the Downtown.

In order to be eligible, a business or building must be located within the Community Improvement Area (www.gravenhurst.ca/cip) and cannot have any outstanding taxes or orders on the property. Projects must also follow the façade guidelines that were developed and endorsed by Council. These guidelines encourage a more cohesive and inviting look and feel in Downtown Gravenhurst. Applicants are required to find two quotes for the work they will be undertaking and submit them with the application form before March 31, 2018. Results will be released on May 15, 2018 after the grants are approved by Council. Applications can be found at the website above or by visiting the  Town of Gravenhurst Municipal Office.
