How is the 11-month pre-authorized debit plan calculated?

The 11-month plan starts in November and ends in September.  We take last year's total taxes levied add 5% and divide that by 11.  September is the reconciliation month, this payment may be more or less than your regular monthly payment; whatever it takes to bring your account to a "zero" balance.  Overpayments, should this occur, are carried forward to the next taxation year.

Is there a fee to enroll in the pre-authorized debit plan?

No.  The reconciliation payment (September) will bring your account to a "zero" balance.  Overpayments, should this occur, are carried forward to the next taxation year.

Can I enroll mid-way through the year?

Yes, you can enroll mid-year on the Installment Plan or the 11-month plan.  It works the same as if you were enrolling in November.  We take last year's total taxes levied add 5% and divide by the number of months remaining in the plan.

If I register in the pre-authorized debit will I receive a tax bill?

Yes, all pre-authorized debit plan subscribers will receive a tax bill.

Monthly Debit Plan subscribers will receive the final tax bill for their review and records in August.

Installment Debit Plan subscribers will receive a bill indicating the pre-authorized debit amount and date, twice a year, once for the Interim and once for the Final.

Can I change my banking information after I enroll in the plan?

Yes, please submit written notification of the change at least 21 days before the change is to take place.
