Council Support

Through the Chief Administrative Officer’s Office and the Clerk’s Department, administrative support is provided to Council and its Committees as well as acting as a liaison between Council and the public.

The Clerk’s Department prepares and distributes agendas, records minutes, and provides procedural guidance to chairpersons. The department ensures that any direction emanating from Council or Committee meetings is acted upon, and prepares correspondence resulting from the meetings.
