Staff from Davey Tree Expert Co. have planted new trees in Gull Lake Rotary Park. Unfortunately, many trees were lost during the tornado in August of 2009. After consulting with a certified arborist, a plan has been put in place to replant several species of trees. Along with replacing White Pine, other trees such as Red Oak, Red Maple, Sugar Maple, White Birch and flowering Crab Apple, will be distributed among various areas within the park. Veridian Connections has made a generous donation of $7000.00 towards this project. Members of the public are also encouraged to make donations to the Tree Replacement program. All donors will be recognized on a plaque in the park, to be erected on a slab of white pine saved from a century-old tree lost during the storm.
