The Community Services Committee of Gravenhurst Town Council have approved of the location for a proposed Off-Leash Dog Park on public property at John St. S.  
 
The Gravenhurst Off-Leash Dog Park Working Group, a volunteer group of interested community members, have been working with staff to research and implement the proposal for the park, and have been directed by Council to fundraise for the estimated development costs.  Along with recruiting volunteers, the group is planning to conduct local fundraising initiatives and source corporate sponsorship.  

 As of mid-November, 2011 the volunteer group has raised $19,000!!!
