Peninsula Road Closure (UPDATE: ROAD IS NOW OPEN/JUNE24 2020)
Effective immediately the Town of Gravenhurst has closed Peninsula Road at civic address 458. The closure is due to a washout of the road due to the significant rainfall we received last evening causing a large cross culvert on Peninsula road to become overwhelmed and fail, resulting in the roadway being washed out.
See the attached map for details. Emergency Services will not have access beyond 458 as the road is impassable....

Swim-Advisory RED MEDIA ADVISORY For Immediate Release June 23, 2020
 
Swim Advisory - Gull Lake Rotary Park Beach
 
Gravenhurst, ON - Based on beach water samples collected by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) on Monday June 22 nd , it has been recommended by the SMDHU that Gull Lake Rotary Park Beach be posted with swim advisory signs. The beach itself will remain open to the public.

Flooding EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: The Town of Gravenhurst will be closing Ruttan Road W between civic address 1080 and 1085. The closure is due to the potential collapse of the road caused by flash flooding following a significant rainfall.
Emergency Services will not have access beyond 1085 as the road is impassable. Emergency road crews will be on scene Saturday morning once the run off has subsided at which time further updates will be provided.

IMG_1884 Temporary Disruption: Dock A (Muskoka Wharf)
Dock A at the Muskoka Wharf has detached itself from the mainland. The Infrastructure Services Department has investigated the Dock and is currently seeking external resources to address the repair.  Please avoid any further use of Dock A until it has been fully repaired and deemed safe. Thank you for your cooperation.
