March Certainly Came In Like a Lion! - Snow Clearing Update

Posted on Wednesday, March 02, 2016 10:00 AM

March certainly came in like a lion!

The winter storm that came through overnight dumped as much 28 cm. of snow keeping Town crews busy since 2:30 a.m. The majority of the main roads have been cleared. The clearing of the side roads is in progress.

Due to the heavy snow conditions the clearing is taking more time to complete – estimated to be 12-13 hours. Under less demanding conditions snow clearing would take 8 hours.

It is anticipated that the snow clearing to be completed around 2:00 p.m. today.
