March Certainly Came In Like a Lion! - Snow Clearing Update

March certainly came in like a lion!

The winter storm that came through overnight dumped as much 28 cm. of snow keeping Town crews busy since 2:30 a.m. The majority of the main roads have been cleared. The clearing of the side roads is in progress.

Due to the heavy snow conditions the clearing is taking more time to complete – estimated to be 12-13 hours. Under less demanding conditions snow clearing would take 8 hours.

It is anticipated that the snow clearing to be completed around 2:00 p.m. today.

New Ministry of Natural Resources Requirements for Docks and Single Story Boathouses

Effective immediately,the Town of Gravenhurst Building Department will require a copy of the Land Use Permit issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources for your proposed construction of docks and single storey boathouses occupying more than 15 square metres.(shadow).  This work permit should be submitted at the time of application.
