Council Approves 2023 Budget Tax Rate Increase of 2.9%

Gravenhurst, ON At Wednesday’s Special Council Meeting, Council approved the 2023 Budget which will result in a 2.9% increase to the Town of Gravenhurst share of the tax rate for 2023. This was the first budget approved by Mayor Lorenz and the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

After publication of the budget materials on January 6, 2023, Council deliberated on the details of both the operating and capital budgets over the course of two days – January 31st and February 1st.
