ADVISORY - Stairs removed at Lookout Park for safety reasons

ADVISORY - The stairs at Lookout Park have been removed for safety reasons. The Town of Gravenhurst believes the stairs were vandalized. 

The town is reviewing the feasibility of replacing the stairs. Currently, there is not a Town of Gravenhurst maintained trail off where the stairs were located.

Muskoka Bay Park clean-up starting

The clean-up of Muskoka Bay Park is starting.

The work is in relation to a food truck explosion at the site on Oct. 1.

Since the incident occurred, the Town of Gravenhurst has been working on a plan to ensure the proper remediation of the park. Extensive rehabilitation work is required given all the debris from the blast.

Town launches next intake for Terence Haight grant program

The Town of Gravenhurst is now accepting Terence Haight grant applications. 

“The town established the Terence Haight Financial Assistance Program to provide limited financial help to community groups and organizations within the municipality,” Mayor Heidi Lorenz said. “The intent of the annual grant program is to assist with activities, special events or with an improvement to an organization’s assets.”
