Gravenhurst, ON – At Wednesday’s Special Council Meeting, Council approved the 2023 Budget which will result in a 2.9% increase to the Town of Gravenhurst share of the tax rate for 2023. This was the first budget approved by Mayor Lorenz and the 2022-2026 Term of Council.
After publication of the budget materials on January 6, 2023, Council deliberated on the details of both the operating and capital budgets over the course of two days – January 31st and February 1st.

In Memoriam: Former Councillor Terry Pilger

The Town of Gravenhurst is recognizing the passing of former Member of Council Terry Pilger. Councillor Pilger was an active member of Council having, served our community as local and District Councillor for multiple terms, starting in 1985. Flags have been lowered to half-staff in remembrance and honour of his service to the Town. Our thoughts and sympathies go to the Pilger family.
