Gravenhurst, ON - The Town of Gravenhurst has released its Annual Business Review and the Gravenhurst Visitor Experience Reports.

The Annual Business Review allows the municipality to engage the business community by obtaining feedback on successes and challenges.  The outreach program also allows the economic development team to build and strengthen communication and relationships while gathering and updating vital local statistics related to employment and business growth and expansion. This information is also important data used by community stakeholders and for investment attraction efforts.

2019 Annual Business Review Survey insights include:

•           Net increase of 86 permanent positions;

•           315 new jobs have been created in the last 4 years;

•           108 businesses intend to hire in 2020 which accounts for 268 potential positions.

The Visitor Information Collection Program is a comprehensive survey deployed over multiple years, for the purpose of gathering Gravenhurst specific visitor demographics and trends. This data establishes baselines which had not been previously gathered and are intended to identify trends and opportunities to grow and support our local and regional tourism economy.
