How Would You Improve the Muskoka Wharf?

Gravenhurst, ON – The Town of Gravenhurst is leading an eight-month project to develop a plan to revitalize the Muskoka Wharf. Following a successful and well attended launch event on Wednesday September 11, the Town is continuing their efforts to collect feedback and ideas from the public with the Wharf Revitalization Survey.

“We were thrilled with the amount of people who came out to the project launch meeting at the Marriott,” said Jeff Loney, manager of economic development. “It was very clear that our community is passionate about the Wharf. We need to maintain this momentum and continue to hear from as many people as possible about the Wharf’s future.”

Those in attendance at the project launch meeting were invited to share what they love about the Wharf and their ideas for its future.  The next step in the consultation process is to give all residents of Gravenhurst the chance to provide feedback.

“The Wharf Revitalization Survey is critical in helping the Town understand why residents visit the Wharf, or why they don’t,” explains Leanne Fetterley, Wharf revitalization coordinator.  “This is an opportunity to gather ideas and suggestions for potential improvements to the location.”

Those who participate in the survey have an opportunity to enter for the chance to win one of two $50 Gravenhurst Dollars prizes that can be redeemed at many downtown businesses.

The survey is available Online until November 7th, at or can be filled out in person by contacting the Wharf Revitalization Coordinator at 705-687-3412 x 271 or email
