Community Improvement Plan for Urban Gravenhurst
The Community Improvement Plan is a municipal grant program to assist business and property owners in the downtown core.  Funding has been made available for projects related to:
  • Study and/or Predevelopment Costs
  • Building and/or Property Improvements
  • Tax and/or Development Charge Relief 

The program was designed to offer maximum assistance to those investing in their business and property. Grants can be used together to assist with costs throughout the redevelopment process and in the years following completion.

 Muskoka Futures (Community Futures Development Corporations)
Muskoka Futures is a community not-for-profit organization fund by Fednor that support local businesses through business start-up and development coaching, financing, professional development training and mentorship programs.
 Veridian Connections Retrofit Program
Veridian Connections offers a Energy Efficiency Grant Program for Commercial and Industrial businesses to assist with up to 50% of the cost to upgrade lighting, HVAC, operational processes related to energy management, etc.
 Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network
  • The Business Technology Improvement Fund (BTIF) - provides 50 percent of the total project cost to assist businesses to become early adopters of digital technology and innovation including the redesign of business models and processes to improve operations and competitiveness.
  • Founders Circle - $10,000 winner-take-all prize to be awarded to an individual or group with an innovative idea that will help improve the local economy.
  • Broadband Internet for Remote Areas (BIRA) - NEOnet will assist businesses with connectivity to high-speed technology that is available by terrestrial wireless services or upgrades to existing Ku-Band or Ka-Band to new technologies. 
 YMCA - Wage Subsidy Program
YMCA Wage Subsidy Program is designed to support employers who help unemployed workers enter or re-enter the workforce and maintain employment, employers may receive financial support for on-the-job training, including apprenticeship training, and work experience opportunities.
 Summer Company Program
The Summer Company Program provides up to $3,000 to young entrepreneurs between 15 and 29 years old start and run their own summer business.  This program is administered by the Muskoka Small Business Centre
 Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce
The Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce is a go-to organization to promote, connect and educate our business community, support and advocate for a higher quality of life for residents and visitors.
 Muskoka Small Business Centre
The Summer Company Program provides up to $3,000 to young entrepreneurs between 15 and 29 years old start and run their own summer business.  This program is administered by the Muskoka Small Business Centre
