- Respect private property by not trespassing
- Give your neighbour a heads up if you anticipate something out of the ordinary for example noise or additional cars for a celebration
Respectfully handle issues
- Calmly talk to your neighbour in person or on the phone about your concern
- Include your landlord or property owner in the conversation if it is not something you can help with
- Stay calm, polite and respectful during your conversation
- Respectfully listen and work together to resolve any concerns or issues
- If you have tried all of the above, share your concerns with your landlord or property owner so they can report it online or call our By-law Department.
Be considerate
- Be aware of by-laws
- Check the Fire Danger Rating online before you have a fire
- Make sure you have an emergency contact to reach your landlord or property owner if there is an issue
