One-on-one Tech Help - Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Figuring out a new device? Looking to try a new app? If you’ve got a tech question, big or small, book a free appointment today for one-on-one tech help. Appointments are 30 minutes long.

When: Tuesdays from 10am-12pm and Wednesdays from 1pm-4pm

May Programs

Adult Board Game Night - Thursday, May 16th at 6pm

Is boredom giving you the blues? The Library's got your back! We're inviting you to join our Adult Board Game group where we'll be gathering once a month to play, laugh and maybe even learn a new game or two. Bring along your own favorite board game or we're happy to share ours with you. Don't worry if you haven't played before, we'll help you become a board game master in no time!

Adult Craft Club:  Diamond Dot Coasters - Tuesday, May 21st at 3pm
Let your creativity flow and come join us for a wonderful afternoon of crafting!  This month, we will create stunning diamond dot coasters as a group.  Whether you're experienced in crafting or just starting out with DIY projects, this is a great chance to relax, enjoy, and showcase your artistic flair.  All the necessary materials will be supplied, so you only need to bring your excitement and prepare to craft something unique.

Cricut Creations:  Custom Book Bags - Thursday, May 23rd at 6pm

Need help carrying all those books from the library book sale?  Come to this month's Cricut workshop to design and create your own personal book bag!  Some comfort with technology recommended. Please bring a personal computer or device to this workshop.

Local History Talk:  Music on the Barge - Tuesday, May 28th at 6:30pm

The "Music on the Barge" concert series is the largest outdoor concert series north of Toronto and draws thousands of seasonal and permanent residents to the shores of Gull Lake to enjoy a great evening of musical entertainment at this unique waterfront setting.  Learn how it all began and enjoy a few fun stories along the way with Fred Schultz and Judy Humphries.

Tall Pine Tales - Thursday, May 30th at 6pm
An evening featuring readings by published and novice writers from Muskoka who will share works of historical fiction, poetry, humourous personal accounts, suspense-filled short stories as well as excerpts from novels.  Entry is by donation with proceeds supporting the purchase of books and supplies for the Library.

Your First Garden: How to start without the stress

Are you tired and overwhelmed by the contradictory advice online about gardening, and don’t know where to start? Join us as we walk through each step of the process, from understanding your growing conditions, to finding beautiful (FREE) designs, ensuring they will work with our climate, to key questions to ask at the gardening centre when purchasing plants. There will be tips for starting on both tight and moderate budgets.

Make sure to bring a binder – we will be starting you off in the right direction by creating a Garden Journal to keep all of your new plans organized.

Join us for a candle-making session this month! Whether you're a seasoned crafter or trying it out for the first time, materials will be provided for you along with any needed encouragement!
