Request an Item

Interlibrary Loans

Can I still get an item if the Library doesn't have it?
Yes! If we don't have it, we will try our best to get it for you. Interlibrary Loan is used to request materials from other library systems in Ontario.

Check the library catalogue first. If we don't have the item you'd like, call the library to request the item or ask staff for assistance.

Please note:

  • Items must have been published more than six months ago.
  • Interlibrary loans can take up to six weeks to arrive.
  • Requests to renew an Interlibrary Loan item must be made before the item is due. Renewals are made at the discretion of the lending library.
  • Items from academic institutions are generally unavailable.
