Muskoka Steamships Cruises

Muskoka Steamships Cruises

Her ability to adapt to 130 years of changes is a model to us all, as North America’s oldest operating hand-fired steamship, the RMS Segwun is the recognized symbol of Muskoka with many believing that her haunting whistle sounds out as the official “heartbeat” which awakens the region each Spring. With a sailing season of just 145 days, present day Segwun welcomes passengers on board from around the world.

Wenonah II - Built in the style of a 1907 Muskoka vessel, Wenonah II complements the RMS Segwun. Both ships offer a variety of cruises on all three of the Muskoka lakes. Accommodating up to 216 passengers, Wenonah II combines turn-of-the-century charm with modern conveniences including air-conditioning and an on-board elevator. Passengers can enjoy three dining rooms and three decks offering the ultimate lakeview experience.

Wanda III - Built in 1915, Wanda III was commissioned for Mrs. Timothy Eaton of the Eaton department stores. Outfitted with an engine of the same design as the engines built for the Canadian Navy Minesweepers during World War I, Wanda III was able to cruise the Muskoka lakes at a speed of 24 miles per hour, a speed unparalleled at the time.

Wanda III remains the finest example of the private steam yacht era. She is currently undergoing restoration and is now docked beside the Muskoka Discovery Centre.

Sightseeing cruises are narrated by a knowledgeable historian and features the small cottage islands and grand estates that Muskoka is famous for.

Ryde Barn Quilt Trail
Ryde Barn Quilt Trail - The Ryde Barn Quilt Trail is located in the former Ryde Township, now part of the town of the Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada. The quilts were erected in 2014 to commemorate 135 years of settlement in Ryde. Some buildings are historic, some are new; all have a story to share.
Sawdust City Brewing Co.
Sawdust City Brewing Co. - Located in Gravenhurst Ontario, the gateway to Muskoka, Sawdust City Brewing Company is dedicated to the art and science of creating exceptional craft beers. We produce traditional ales and lagers in an array of styles, but there is nothing traditional about the flavour. Our brewmaster, Sam Corbeil, and his talented team create exciting beers that expand the borders of traditional flavour profiles. The rule at Sawdust City is there are no rules. We are just here to make great beer.

In addition to our six year-round core brands, we brew exceptional seasonal offerings, exciting limited batch brews, barrel-aged and experimental beers. Of course all of our beers are all-natural and made with only the finest ingredients. We don’t take ourselves too seriously as our labels express and hey, beer should be fun! What we do take seriously is the quality of our beers, which we are sure you will enjoy.

Scuba Shack Diving

Scuba Shack - The Bird Island Wall is a dive which bottoms out around 100 feet. The wall goes down in levels with a ledge at approximately every 15 feet. This island itself is a bird sanctuary and is particularly interesting during the month of June when the Blue Herons return from the south and nest here to hatch their young. The Platform is a dive area originally set up as a training site for part of the advanced diver programs. With as max. depth of about 50 feet, it is the numerous boats, toilets, tire reef filled with fish, and town water intake line that make this such an interesting dive. Boat leaves from Segwun Park Dock, Gravenhurst.
