Six Guitars

Starring Chase Padgett

Saturday, April 4th, 2020

Doors open at 6:00 PM | Show at 7:00 PM

Tickets: $30 (Regular) | $10 (Student)

"Padgett is a virtuoso guitar player and deft actor who portrays six different characters with warmth and compassion." - CBC Manitoba

Six Guitars starring, Chase Padgett is 'A Love Letter To Music'.

We are very excited to present this unbelievable, one man concert before he returns to Mirvish theatres for another run. With a pitch perfect blend of music, comedy and incredible characters, this show received the Orlando International Fringe Festival Best Solo Performer, Best Male Actor, and Best Musician.

A single performer portrays six different guitar-playing characters each sharing their own style of music. As the show unfolds, audiences are treated to great songs from each genre that showcase breathtaking musicianship. This sonic feat is done not merely with just one performer but just one guitar as well. There are plenty of laughs too! Each character, from the young rock prodigy to the weary blues picker, shares hilarious anecdotes that only a life playing music can give. These balance out the moving stories each deliver about how music has touched their lives and made them a better person along the way. You don’t need to play music to love this show. You just need to love music.

"Six Guitars is note perfect." – OTTAWA CITIZEN

"***** A masterful storyteller and captivating entertainer." – VUE WEEKLY

“It’s one guy – and one guitar – but it’s amazing!” – Orlando Sentinel

Whiskey Jack: The Stories & Songs of Stompin' Tom
with Special Guests Cindy Church & Sean Cullen

Saturday, May 30, 2020

Bar opens at 7:00 PM | Show begins at 8:00 PM

Tickets: $40

“Stompin’ Tom’s Canada Meets Sean Cullen’s Comedy” is a playful, funny, very musical and all Canadian show starring one of Stompin’ Tom’s favourite touring bands, Whiskey Jack. Sean and the band have presented their onstage antics numerous times over the years and will be on tour again in 2020.
Duncan Fremlin and his show “Whiskey Jack Presents Stories & Songs of Stompin’ Tom” first invited comedian, author, actor and singer Sean Cullen to join them at their very first concert in 2014. As Sean stepped onto the stage that night, he told the audience that Tom had written songs about potatoes, tomatoes and tobacco but sadly, not one about what many consider to be Canada’s national food, poutine. Within minutes and with the band providing the soundtrack, I Love Poutine was created, on stage, in front of hundreds of hungry fans. It brought the house down!

Whiskey Jack’s 25 years on stage and in the studio with Stompin’ Tom form the heart and soul of this show, now in its 7th year. Each night, Duncan and his all star musicians, including 5 time Canadian National Fiddle Champion, Randy Morrison and 2 time Juno nominee, Douglas John Cameron, captivate the fans by singing all the hits (The Hockey Song, Bud the Spud and more) and sharing stories of the private, backstage world of Stompin’ Tom. And yes, these are the outrageous tales that made him the legendary iconic hero to the entire country.
