Fire Danger Rating system monitored April through October

The Fire Danger Rating is a Muskoka-wide rating system monitored from April through October.

In Gravenhurst, open-air fires are only permitted between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. during this time. Several conditions must be met to burn. A full list of rules can be found in the Burn By-law.

The rating is verified daily by Muskoka fire chiefs and updated as conditions change. The current fire danger rating is LOW.

Ratings reflect actual environmental conditions and are categorized into four levels: low, moderate, high, extreme/fire ban. Information about the rating system can be found on our website.
