New guide aims to increase restaurant recognition for both locals and visitors

Gravenhurst, ON – Hoping to answer the perennial question, “Where should we go for Dinner” the Town of Gravenhurst has produced the Tastes of Gravenhurst guide to help gives residents and visitors a great overview of the restaurants and food services available in this town.  In addition to a comprehensive listing of restaurants, the Guide also includes farms and fresh food locations as well as some specialty food items and of course the requisite fast food locations.  As a special bonus, this 16-page book also has tasty recipes to try for breakfast, lunch or dinner and a custom Muskoka cocktail too!

“If you are anything like me, there is a little folder full of takeout menus sitting in your drawer or on magnets on your fridge, “says Jeff Loney, Manager of Economic Development. “This new guide is intended to be added to this collection.”

The guide highlights what each business offers and contact information to find out more detailed information.  “Of course, being a printed guide, every effort has been made to ensure the information is accurate and up to date, but it is always recommended that you contact the restaurant, store or service to ensure they are ready to serve you,” Loney added.

In a year where restaurants and food services have been struggling, business owners in Gravenhurst have worked hard to try and stay afloat. This guide is intended to raise the profile of these businesses and to remind visitors and residents about the restaurants in town. A digital version of the Guide is also available at www.DiscoverGravenhurst.ca and if you are a restaurant or food service provider that would like to be included in the Guide, reach out to the Economic Development department.

Included with this release is a list of the restaurant service offerings in Gravenhurst during the ongoing provincial lockdown.  We encourage all residents to support local restaurants and businesses safely during this time.

Printed copies are available at the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce or can be requested through the Town of Gravenhurst.  If you are a local owner or operator and would like to have copies of the Guide in your business, please let the team know!
