Spring is in the air and there is no better time that to get out and experience it… safely!

With warmer days and cooler nights, we have seen the sap running and that means MAPLE SYRUP time!  How exciting?  Now you might not get to experience your favourite maple inspired events this year and you might not be able to go onsite and see the sap boil… but there are still many ways to get your maple on.

Here is what we recommend!

Start the Day off with a great Maple infused bevvy… we suggest a Relish Fog Tea or maybe a Mornin’ Babe Maple Coffee!  Then hit the trails to enjoy the sunshine and the pre-spring views. 

Check out Kahshe Barrens Trail to see a moderate trail with beautiful views – there is the pond lookout or the stream for those sweet forest pics.. with a figure eight trail, you can do both loops to see it all, or choose to hit up one loop and then hit another location.

We recommend also checking our Brydons Bay Trail – this quickie is an easy hike, with some peak-a-boo spots of the lake and it’s close enough to town, but also removed enough to hear the birds and see some critters!

Once you’ve done your physical activities, grab some delish lunch in town.  From Maple Bacon Wings, to Maple drizzled Salmon and a fresh salad with Maple infused dressings, you have many choices.. Check out our Dining Guide for locations and ideas!

Don’t forget DESSERT!   Grab a Maple Donut, or butter tart with maple swirls or a Butter Tart Beer to finish off the experience.  And hey, since some of our best locations for Maple goodies are in Downtown Gravenhurst, check out our local stores for great deals, unique items and sweet souvenirs of the day.
