Back to SearchGravenhurst, ON – Based on beach water samples collected on August 31st, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is recommending that Gull Lake Rotary Park (405 Brock St.) be posted with a swim advisory.
The geometric mean of samples collected from the beach was 891 E. coli per 100 mL which exceeds the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 mL.
The Swim Advisories for Muskoka Bay Park Beach and Lorne Street Beach have been lifted.
The Town, in partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, will continue to monitor all municipal beaches and water quality, and advise the public should there be any concerns.
