Are You Eligible to Be a Paid On Call/Volunteer Firefighter in Gravenhurst?
 To be a firefighter you must:
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Live within 10 km of one of our 3 stations
  • Have 24 hour transportation available
  • Be in good health: a pre-employment medical screening form signed by a nurse practitioner or doctor must be provided
  • Provide a clean Vulnerable Sector criminal background check

 Recruit Training
Following the recruitment process, successful applicants will undergo extensive recruit training. This involves a considerable time commitment by the applicant. Full recruit training schedules will be made available to applicants at an appropriate time.
