The Gravenhurst Accessibility Advisory Committee is an advisory committee of Council. All meetings are open to the public. Through the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), this Committee promotes the removal of barriers and equal access to services for people of all abilities.

Mandate: to advise, assist and make recommendations to Council on matters related to accessibility within the Town of Gravenhurst. Vision: to promote equal opportunity for all persons within the community, regardless of their needs, and to ensure that all persons are able to participate as fully as possible in all aspects of community life. Primary Role: to provide advice to Council and reviewing various matters as they relate to accessibility issues within the community. In addition, the Subcommittee is responsible for:

Snow Clearing Services (Driveways and Windrows) |

The Accessibility Advisory Committee recognizes the difficulty for seniors and persons with disabilities to clear snow from their driveway during the winter. While the Town of Gravenhurst is unable to offer this service, a list of locally available service providers is provided below for residents to contact:
