Train Station Commercial Lease

The Historic Gravenhurst Train Station building has vacant commercial space in Unit 1 that is available for lease. The space has previously been occupied by cafe operations, office space and museum organizations in the space. The Town is looking for expressions of interest from businesses that are seeking to operate a sustainable business in the space.  

The Train Station Building is located at 1501 Second St. S, directly across from Gull Lake Rotary Park. The Province of Ontario is reinstating passenger rail service from Toronto to Timmins with stops in Muskoka including the Gravenhurst Train Station. The service is anticipated to launch in the mid-2020s. 

The Building also includes the following features:

  • Location just off the main Gravenhurst thoroughfare with convenient access from highway 11, Bethune Drive, and Brock Street that leads to the Downtown corridor;
  •  Directly accessible to those travelling on the Ontario Northlander Passenger Rail providing service from Toronto, through Muskoka, all the way to Timmins;
  • Across the road from Gull Lake Rotary Park known as Gravenhurst's largest and busiest parks for families and all age groups. The park draws upwards of 80 participants and guardians per swimming lesson session. Additionally, the park draws people to many events including the Annual Gravenhurst Car Show on June 17th, 2023 where upwards of 3000 attendees are expected; Gravenhurst Ladies 3 Pitch Baseball League with games running May through September and the Annual Muskoka Fall Rowing Regatta, since 2012.  Also in July and August, the park plays host to Cinema Under the Starts every Thursday night (drawing 60 - 125 people per evening depending on the film) as well as 'Music On the Barge' - the largest outdoor concert series north of Toronto, Sunday nights at 7:30pm;
  • Less than a 5 minute walk to Gravenhurst's Historic Downtown;

  • A basement that features additional storage space and houses the natural gas furnace;
