Recreation Programs

The Town of Gravenhurst is home to a wide range of recreational, arts and cultural programs for youth, adults and seniors. Some opportunities are offered directly by the Town and others by wonderful organizations in our area. Family & Youth Programs

NEW! Family Backyard Games

Looking to extend the fun after Public skating? Join "Family Backyard Games" for all ages! Enjoy quality family time with fun activities like cornhole, spike ball, and ladder toss. At least one adult family member is required to participate and supervise kids 10 and younger. Rotate through games, learn new skills, and bond with loved ones and new friends in a friendly environment. Perfect for family fun and active play!
Sundays 2-3 pm (September 8-March 30) on days when there is Public Skating

Speed Meet & Mingle

Whether you’re looking to expand your social circle, network professionally, or simply enjoy meeting new people, Speed Meet and Mingle offers a dynamic and enjoyable experience for everyone. Join us for a night of fast-paced fun and new connections! Ages 19+

Summer Programs

March Break

The Town of Gravenhurst, Gravenhurst Public Library, EarlyON, Gravenhurst YMCA, and the Muskoka Discovery Centre team up to offer a great week full of activities for all ages. See you in 2025!  

Swimming Lessons

There is something special about learning to swim in a lake! The Town of Gravenhurst offers Lifesaving Society swimming lessons. Program scheduling is based on the availability of instructors and registration numbers. Registration closed for the season. 

Community Gardens

A community garden is a public space where individuals and families learn how to grow their own vegetables in a caring and supportive manner. Join your neighbours and plan an edible garden on the grounds at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre. No gardening experience necessary. Program full for this season.
