Who can vote? 

A Canadian citizen

At least 18 years old

Reside in Gravenhurst or is the owner or tenant of land in Gravenhurst, or the spouse of such person

Not prohibited from voting because they:

Are serving a sentence of imprisonment

Are a corporation

Are acting as an executor or trustee or in any other representative capacity

Was convicted of a corrupt practice described in Section 90(3) of the MEA

Are you on the voters’ list?

The voters’ list is provided by Elections Ontario. Check the list. 

Need to check your schoolboard support?

MPAC maintains the records of school support. Check the records. 

The following offices are to be elected in the 2026 Municipal Elections:

Mayor

District Councillor (3 seats)

Ward 1 Councillor

Ward 2 Councillor

Ward 3 Councillor

Ward 4 Councillor

Ward 5 Councillor

The Nomination Period starts on May 1, 2026 and ends on August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

The term of Council is November 15, 2026 until November 14, 2030.

2026 is an election year for municipalities and school boards across Ontario including the Town of Gravenhurst. 

Election day is October 24, 2026

Gravenhurst will vote by telephone or internet

Join us on November 17, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Gravenhurst Opera House for the Inaugural Council meeting.
