Dogs must be leashed in public spaces

Gravenhurst’s trails are a great place to get outside, enjoy nature and spend time with your four-legged friends.

When enjoying public trails and spaces, please remember that dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Dogs are not permitted to run at large, and owners must also ensure their dogs do not enter or trespass onto private property, even while on leash.

And of course, please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your dog.  Bring along a bag, pick up all dog waste, and dispose of it properly.

These requirements are outlined in the Town of Gravenhurst’s Dog Control By-law and help keep our trails clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone, while respecting neighbouring property owners.

Enjoy the trails, respect the rules, and help us keep Gravenhurst a welcoming place for all trail users — two-legged and four-legged alike.
