Gravenhurst Public Library summer program calendar now available
Looking for fun things to do this summer?
The Gravenhurst Public Library Summer Program Calendar is now available.
Residents and visitors can access the calendar online.
“We are excited to kick off another fantastic summer at the library,” said Jennifer Whipp, child and youth services librarian. “This year, we’re bringing back some of our favourite programs, including Summer Trade School, Preschool Story Time, and Tween Time.”
The library is also introducing a variety of new programs, such as Mini Makers, Fun Fridays, Messi Minis, Orange vs. Blue, and much more.
“In addition to everything happening at the library, you’ll find us in the community at events such as Cinema Under the Stars, the Vintage Boat Show, the Gravenhurst Farmers’ Market, and even a special appearance by the Muskoka Mermaid at the Make a Splash event in August,” Whipp said. “For adults this year, we are running craft programs, game nights, and the Gravenhurst Archives will be hosting a drop-in event at the library on July 5 so people can learn more about the archives.”
On Canada Day, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., library staffers will be with Muskoka Master Gardeners at Gull Lake Rotary Park, creating magical mini gardens and fairy tale fun for the third year in a row.
The library will officially kick off its summer programs on July 2, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., with its Alien Invasion Backyard Bash in the side yard at St. James Anglican Church, 191 Hotchkiss St.
Registration for all summer programs starts at 3 p.m. on June 18.
“Be sure to check out our summer calendar for all the fun, and don’t forget to register for any programs you would like to attend,” Whipp said.
