Gravenhurst streets closed for repair work

The Town of Gravenhurst has closed multiple streets in town following an incident involving a transport truck earlier this morning.

Mary Street North is closed from Bay Street to Brown Street. 

Hughson Street is closed from John Street North to Sarah Street. 

The closure is required to repair overhead wires and poles that were damaged by a transport truck travelling through the area. There were no injuries. 

Motorists and pedestrians, if possible, should avoid the area. 

Repairs are not expected to be complete until later this evening. 

Elexicon and other utility service providers will be overseeing the work.
