Gravenhurst Votes now live on website

The Town of Gravenhurst’s municipal election webpage is now live on Gravenhurst.ca.  

“The webpage is your primary source for all things related to the municipal election,” Director of Legislative Services Kayla Thibeault said. “Whenever you have a question about the municipal election, the webpage should always be your starting point.” 

Election day in Gravenhurst, and all of Ontario, is Oct. 26, 2026.  

Voters will be able to cast their ballot by telephone or the internet.  

More information about the voting process will be available in the months ahead. Please watch the webpage and the town’s social media channels for details.  

The election webpage includes the following:

  • Candidate information  

  • General information  

 The ‘Voter information’ section includes a link to the Elections Ontario site so that people can check if they are on the voters’ list. The ‘Voter information’ section also includes a link to the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation website so that people can ensure their school support designation is current. Both sites allow people to make changes.  

The ‘Candidate information’ section includes a breakdown of the positions people can run for in the municipal election: mayor, district councillor (three seats), Ward 1 councillor, Ward 2 councillor, Ward 3 councillor, Ward 4 councillor, and Ward 5 councillor. The nomination period starts May 1, 2026, and concludes Aug. 21, 2026, at 2 p.m. Watch for further candidate information throughout the election.  

The ‘General Information’ section includes additional details about the municipal election.

The next council term will run from Nov. 15, 2026, until Nov. 14, 2030.
