Outdoor spaces update - May 16, 2025
With the Victoria Day long weekend approaching, the Town of Gravenhurst is updating residents and visitors on the status of outdoor spaces following the ice storm earlier this spring.
We are happy to announce the reopening the following public parks and cemeteries:

Church Street Parkette

Franklin Park
-
Symington Cemetery

Lutheran Cemetery

Kilworthy Park
Swim buoys have been placed at the following beaches, which are open to the public:

Muskoka Beach Park

Muskoka Bay Park

Gull Lake Rotary Park

Franklin Park

Lorne Street Beach
Dock C Ramp (in front of Boston Pizza/Dock of the Bay) is repaired and open for use. Remember public dock’s A & C have a 6-hour maximum docking time (By-law No. 2024-90).
Other sites have already re-opened and this information is available on our website along with details about locations that remain closed.
Some parks, trails, and cemeteries remain closed while staff and contractors continue to address safety concerns.
Repairs and remediation may include the use of contractors and specialized equipment to deal with damaged trees.
