Road closure notice: Severn River Road - April 7, 2026

Location: 1119 Severn River Rd. (almost 650 metres west of East Severn River Road).  

Road closure period: April 7, 2026 until date unknown.  

Reason for closure: Flooding. Severn River levels continue to increase due to snowmelt and rain.  

Additional notes: Sandbags are available at the end of East Severn River Road for people in need. Sandbags are also available at the public works yard, 1054 Crawford Rd. People can also access sand and empty sandbags at these locations and fill them as needed. Watch Gravenhurst.ca and town social media channels for updates.
