Work starting on accessibility ramp at Muskoka Beach Park

Construction of an accessibility ramp as an alternate access point to the beach area at Muskoka Beach Park in Gravenhurst will begin on Tuesday, July 7.

Work on the wooden ramp will start in the parking lot at the park and continue towards the waterfront.

The result will be a stable, solid surface that people can use to access the beach.

The project, a $90,000 investment, is part of ongoing accessibility improvements by the Town of Gravenhurst.

During construction, the town anticipates a few parking spots will be unavailable, but the park, beachfront, and washrooms will remain open.

Overflow parking is available off Golf Course Road, if needed.

Staff anticipate construction will finish around July 21.

Watch the town’s website and social media pages for project updates.
