Fairy Garden Fun

From July 1st - August 22nd

Shhh… can you hear the flutter of wings? The Fairy Garden at the Gravenhurst Public Library is waking up—and it’s calling kids to come play! This enchanting hands-on exploration garden is full of tiny treasures, whimsical details, and magical moments just waiting to be discovered. Whether pretending to fly with fairies, hunting for hidden gems, slaying miniature dragons, or simply enjoying this peaceful outdoor play space, little ones can let their imaginations bloom in this one-of-a-kind garden made just for them.

Fairy Mail

From July 2nd - August 22nd

The fairies have gone digital! Ever wanted to write to a real fairy? Now you can! Drop off a handwritten letter to Lily the Library Fairy at the Gravenhurst Public Library using our special fairy mailbox. After reading your letter, she’ll send you a magical reply by email - just don’t forget to include a clearly written email address with your letter. Please allow 5–10 business days for a response—summer is a very busy time in the fairy world!

Fairy Trail

From July 2nd - August 22nd

The fairies have been busy this winter—and their magic is spreading across Gravenhurst! Start your adventure at the Gravenhurst Public Library, where you’ll find our beloved Fairy Garden and pick up your very own map to our new Fairy Trail. Set off to find hidden fairy villages tucked around town, hosted by local businesses and community organizations. Follow your map, find each tiny garden, solve the clues, and return your completed sheet to the Library for a magical miniature prize. Keep your eyes open—you never know where fairy wings might flutter next!
